FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY VACANCY NO. FET/EE 2/2015: LECTURER IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING/DIGITAL SYSTEMS, DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses. The candidate should be able to teach courses in at least one of the following areas: Digital electronics, Computer engineering, Micro-processor based systems: in addition to any other electronics/computer engineering course allocated by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Candidates should have:
(i) a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with specialization in Digital systems), or equivalent;
(ii) have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with at least a 2(i) pass or a GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent;
(iii) evidence of engagement in research and service. A relevant PhD and/or a relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage. Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will also be an added advantage.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION VACANCY NO. FE/LSSE 02/2015: LECTURER IN MORAL EDUCATION, DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES & SOCIAL SCIENCES EDUCATION

Duties:

The applicant must be qualified and competent to teach Moral Education courses at undergraduate and Postgraduate Diploma in Education levels. In addition the candidate will be required to undertake research and other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Applicants must have:
(i) at least a Masters’ degree specialising in a discipline appropriate to Moral Education or related field(s);
(ii) a Bachelors’ degree in Moral Education or related discipline with at least a 2(i) pass or a GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent;
(iii) evidence of engagement in research and service. A relevant PhD and/or a relevant professional teaching qualification in Moral Education or related field will be an added advantage. Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will also be an added advantage.
