VACANCIES AT BOTSWANA MEAT COMMISSION (BMC)

Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) was established by an act of Parliament to promote the development of the country’s beef and related beef products globally. BMC strives to generate suitable wealth for the Botswana livestock industry through efficient and equitable procurement, globally competitive operations and achievement of maximum market value for products.

1. KEY ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Reporting to the Assistant Marketing Manager, the incumbent will maintain cordial customer relationships within a defined territory and in line with the Commission defined priorities. Increase market share and sales opportunities with the Commission’s top customers.

Key Performance Areas:

• Customer Relations/Care
• Attend to customer queries
• Marketing of BMC products
• Conduct customer visits
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related Business degree.
Experience:
3-5 years of successful sales experience is required preferably in Food Manufacturing Organization

2. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (MAUN)

The incumbent will design modify plant and equipment in accordance with operational specifications and prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings and costing estimate. Provide line maintenance staff with technical advice and assistance in diagnosis of faults and speedy repair of plant and equipment to maximize plant availability to ensure continuity of production.

• Minimize labour disputes and grievances
• Customer satisfaction
Qualification
COSC plus Technical Diploma in Electricity or equivalent.
Experience
At least five years post qualification experience in operation and maintenance of high voltage power supply and distribution, and people management.

3. GRADUATE TRAINEES-INTERNAL AUDIT (3 candidates )

The Commission wishes to develop resources in the Internal Auditing field for the following degree qualification holders.
• Information Technology
• Accounting
• Animal Science
Experience
• No experience needed

The identified candidates shall undergo a 24 months in- house structured development program.
