Main purpose of the job


Prepare a variety of food; meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items. Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station and serve menu items compliant with established standards. Constantly use safe and hygienic food handlingpractices and keep the work area fresh all through the shift.

Catering Manager - Regional Future (Pty) Ltd

Qualifications: Degree in
Hospitality Management or equivalent

Experience: At least 5 years in a reputable institution

Main purpose of the job


Runs the day-to-day catering operations and services in a restaurant. Leading a team of Chefs and catering assistants, will be tasked with optimising the quality of food, service and performance of their outlets. The most important part or the job is achieving good quality at low cost maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction. The typical activities include:

Duties


• Planning menus in consultation with chefs and ordering supplies as required
• Training, supervising and motivating permanent and casual staff
• Organising staff shifts
• Ensuring health and safety are strictly observed, recorded and archived
• Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
• Setting and monitoring budgets and maintaining financial and administrative records

Chef - Regional Future

Qualification: Diploma in Hospitality Management. Degree will be an added advantage

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the same position

Main purpose of the job


To provide quality dishes which have been prepared, cooked and presented according to company standard and within timescales required for the restaurant outlet. Maintains a professional, safe and hygienic appearance on duty. Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements, prevention of working environment hazards and accidents at work, following accident, first aid and emergency procedures.
