SYSTEM ANALYST- INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

Main Purpose of the Job
To provide technical analysis for developing and implementing BITC information technology initiatives to ensure a technology enabled environment. Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programs or program change is possible within existing systems. Builds business cases for upgrading or new systems Audits existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production or workflow as required

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• ensure availability of ICT systems or infrastructure
• develop and maintain plans outlining steps and project plans for developing, testing, upgrading and installing applications
• analyse existing business operations and existing information systems
• study trends in technology and make recommendations to management
• study trends in business and be aware of competitor’s exploitation of technology
• propose alternative solutions to business problems and select preferred solution
• design new systems including process flow, user interface, reports and security procedures

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent and five (5) years’ experience working in an IT environment.
• Relevant professional Qualifications will be an added advantage
