Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to
teach Undergraduate and Graduate level courses. The candidate should be able
to teach Commercial Laws in at least two of the following areas: Company
Law, Business Law, Insurance Law, International Business Transactions and Tax
Law. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition
to those outlined above. The successful candidate will be expected to
conduct research in his/ her area of expertise; and carry out any other
duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements:
Candidates should have: (i) at least a relevant
LLM Degree; (ii) a LLB Degree with at least a 2(i) pass;(iii)
show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD,
teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and
demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER

Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to: (i)
teach Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure and Practice, Evidence,
Conveyancing and Notarial Practice, and Property Law; (ii) supervise students’
research projects and theses at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (iii)
conduct research in his/her area of expertise; (iv) provide service to the
community; (v) provide academic leadership; and (vi) carry out any other
duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.The Department
reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined
above.
Requirements:
Associate Professor- Candidates should
have (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Law; (ii) 5 years of
teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iii) have a
good and sustained record of research and publications with at least 12 publications, 8 of
which should be refereed journal articles; lead and/or single authored in at
least 6 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (iv)
evidence of service to University, the Profession and the Community; (v)
evidence of effective academic leadership; (vi) a relevant PhD will be an added
advantage. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of
publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, dates published,
name(s) of publishers and name(s) of co-authors if any. Publications should be
categorized into: books, monographs, refereed and non-refereed journals,
chapters in books, etc.
Senior Lecturer- Candidates should
have: (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Law; (ii) a Bachelors’ Degree in Law
with at least a 2(i) pass; (iii) at least 3 years of teaching
experience at a University or comparable institution; (iv) a good and sustained
record of research and publications with at least 6 publications, 4 of
which are peer reviewed journal articles; (v) lead and/or single author in at
least 2 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (vi)
applicants should demonstrate evidence of service; (vii) a relevant PhD
and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added

LECTURER IN ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY
Duties:
The successful candidate will be required to (i)
conduct lectures and laboratory practicals in Animal Physiology, which may
include Comparative Vertebrate Physiology, Developmental Biology and Exercise
Physiology at Undergraduate and Graduate levels; (ii) undertake individual
research or in collaboration with colleagues within or outside the Department;
(iii) provide service to the University, Profession and to the Community and;
(iv) perform any other duties/ responsibilities that may be assigned by the
Head of Department.
Requirements:
Applicants should hold: (i) at least a Master’s
Degree in Zoology or any related field with specialization in Animal
Physiology; (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences or related field
with at least a 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of
engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD, teaching
experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of
effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
