BOTSWANA POWER CORPORATION VACANCIES (DIRECT ENTRY POSTS)

BPC requires dynamic, result- orientated and customer focused individuals who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers reliable power to Botswana, to apply for the below mentioned jobs;


-Linesman (Tenable in Gaborone)
-Trainee Technician - Substation ( Tenable in Sowa)
-Trainee Technician – Planning (Tenable in Gaborone)

The following are all Direct Entry (no experience required)

1.LINESMAN – GABORONE

Main Purpose of Job:

•To carry out maintenance and repair both live and dead Transmission Overhead lines to ensure efficient and reliable transmission of electricity.

Qualification:

•National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Electrical Engineering
•Live line certificate

Experience:

•Direct Entry

Competencies:

•Attention to details
•Cooperation and Compliance with instructions
•Procedural awareness and understanding

2.TRAINEE TECHNICIAN - SUBSTATION (TENABLE IN SOWA)

Main Purpose of Job:

•To control and carry out operation, maintenance and repair of transmission substation equipment to ensure effective, safe and speedy maintenance.

Qualification:

•Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

•Direct Entry

3.TRAINEE TECHNICIAN - PLANNING (TENABLE IN GABORONE)

Main Purpose of Job:


•To produce planned maintenance schedules in order to facilitate preventative maintenance and condition monitoring of transmission equipment

Qualification:

•Full Time Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

•Direct Entry
