LECTURER IN MINERAL ENGINEERING
VACANCY
NO: FET/CE 1/2014
Duties: The
successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach diploma and undergraduate
courses in Mineral Engineering (ii) conduct and produce results of scholarly
work, actively involving students at Diploma and B. Eng. Degree levels (iii)
perform administrative and other duties as may be assigned by the Head of
Department.
Requirements: Candidates
should have: (i) a Master’s degree in Mineral Engineering or
related field; (ii) a Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Engineering or related
field with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of 3.6;(iii) Evidence of engagement in
research and publication activities;(iv) Preference will be given to
applicants with teaching experience at a university level in more than one area
of the following: Extractive Metallurgy, Process Mineralogy, Flotation, Coal
Preparation, Computer applications in Mineral Processing and a good research
and publication record in areas relevant to Mineral Engineering; (v) a relevant
PhD or similar professional qualifications; and teaching experience at a
University or comparable institution will be an added advantages.
