LECTURER
(2 positions): 1 on a 2 year contract, 1 pensionable
Duties: The successful candidate
will be expected to: (i) teach Undergraduate and Graduate level courses
especially Elementary Statistics, Probability Distributions and National
Accounts; (ii) supervise student’s projects as need may arise; (iii)
participate in all academic and professional activities of the Department
including research; (iv) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may
be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should (i) hold
at least a Masters’ Degree in Statistics; (ii) a Bachelors’ Degree in Statistics with
at least a 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of
engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD, teaching experience
at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective
academic leadership will be added advantages; (v) interest in specializing in one of the
following areas: Official Statistics, Actuarial Science and Stochastic
Processes.
