DESCRIPTION
|
|
Care is currently seeking a Grant Management and
Fundraising Coordinator. The Grant Management and Fundraising Coordinator
(GMFC) is an important position within the CARE South Sudan program structure
reporting to the Country Director working with the Assistant Country Director
- Program Quality, technical advisors and Area Program Coordinators at the
field level. The purpose of the position is to ensure that CARE South
Sudan is strategic in fundraising and grant management in order to be able to
implement high quality programs. The GMFC is responsible for leading a
process of building the capacity of Country Office and partner staff to
develop proposals and understand and meet donor requirements. The GMFC
promotes synergy and coordination between thematic and geographic teams,
finance, and program support teams to ensure the development and submission
of high quality proposals and reports. The GMFC oversees proposal development
of CARE South Sudan programs/projects ensuring that arising lessons learned
are applied to project revisions and new project designs to improve
program design and quality of proposals. This includes dissemination both
internally and externally. This position will perform a key role in
contributing to the design, development and implementation of a new
Strategic Plan for CARE South Sudan ensuring as part of this process
that the CO’s progress against its strategic directions are measured and
monitored, and its strategy adjusted as appropriate to ensure that CARE
remains relevant and effective within the South Sudan development context.
The GMFC represents CARE South Sudan in assigned areas as designated in the
absence of the Country Director including program and technical
representation with donors.
