Overview of role
To manage the Corporate Business Unit and
achieve agreed financial targets. This includes effective management of
the outputs of all lines of services to be provided to other SBUs and
CSUs. The incumbent will ensure effective and commercially competitive
lines of service to all other Business Units and for meeting BPC
Corporate requirements at acceptable level of risk. The incumbent will
have overall responsibility for the formulation of strategy, policy,
plans and standards within the Strategic Business Unit and for adherence
to established Corporate Governance principles and practices.
Job description
- Develop and implement strategies and policies covering all service lines provided by the business unit.
- Manage, track delivery and report on SLAs with all business units.
- Establish and maintain specialist service delivery units for each line of service with the capacity to receive and execute all queries, complaints and requests (QCRs).
- Provide Information Technology, Communication infrastructure, applications, application support, data management and desktop support services.
- Service lines for delivery of shared services to other business units.
- Provide support services to Business Units without own support capacity.
- Develop long germ master plans covering demand, capacity and corresponding capital and operational financial requirements.
Requirements, Education and Experience
- Relevant Degree from a recognised University- an MBA is preferable
- Added Management and Human Sciences qualifications will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 12 years relevant experience in a large corporate environment, 5 of which must have been in a senior management position. Experience gained in the electricity Industry will be an advantage.
