Mission and objectives
Since 2015, UNDP Iraq has been actively engaged in its
"Innovation for Development" project, which has a clear mission and
set of objectives to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq. The primary
goal of this project is to enhance the capabilities of individuals, especially
young men and women, as well as institutions in Iraq in the areas of innovation
and entrepreneurship. These efforts strongly align with the Sustainable
Development Goals. Another important goal of the project is to enhance and
support the overall entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq. This involves creating a
supportive environment and providing essential tools and resources for aspiring
entrepreneurs. By doing so, UNDP Iraq aims to foster an environment that
nurtures entrepreneurship and facilitates its growth. One notable solution
implemented by the Innovation for Development project to enhance the
entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq is the development of the INPoint Platform.
This platform is an integral part of the organization's strategy and serves as
a virtual space where key actors in the field of entrepreneurship can connect
and collaborate.
Context
The key results have an impact on the efficiency and timely
progress of the Stabilization Pillar under which the position is being created.
Timely and appropriate planning and management of Monitoring and Evalution
activities and tasks is a pre-condition for the successful implementation of
the Stabilization Pillar activities. The performance of the Data Management
Assistant will therefore be measured against these results. The incumbent's
ability to learn and willingness to take own initiative is decisive in the
quality of the work performed and achievement of results.
Task description
The Data Management Assistant will provide Support to
M&E Team of the Stabilization Pillar’s focusing on the achievement of the
following results; 1. Check collected data quality and point out
inconsistencies or missing data to the field data collection consultant 2.
Perform cleaning and organization of the data in preparation for analysis. •
Conduct analysis of the baseline and endline data. 3. Calculate log frame
indicators. 4. Draft analytical report for baseline/endline results. 5. Daily
updating and data management of the Stabilization Project Tracker, actively
sourcing inputs from the procurement team, field monitoring reports,
Livelihoods Team, Municipal Stabilization Advisors, Area Coordinators,
Stabilization Specialists and other sources as necessary. 6. Regular quality
checking of sub-project data to ensure all information categories according to
Stabilization standard operating procedures for sub-project monitoring are
compiled and verified for accuracy. 7. Assist in the regular collection of results
for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with participation of relevant staff 8.
Quality check field reports for accuracy and follow up as necessary with field
engineers for project details including technical/engineering details relating
to problems or delays. 9. Extracts data and information from the dashboard for
the purpose of presenting to the Programme Manager and Senior Management in
UNDP 10. Any other related tasks may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
Required experience
1 years of experience in the national and/or international
level in or other relevant programmes; experience, reporting skills; Knowledge
in conducting analysis working in the UN or other international development
organization; • ability to deal successfully with high volumes of workload, •
Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing • Working
knowledge of oral and written skills in English • Ability to work and adapt
professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work
effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel. •
Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office
applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database
management; and office technology equipment; • Self-motivated, ability to work
with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines; • Ability to
work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment;
ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and
national personnel • Sound security awareness; • Have affinity with or interest
in working with UNDP volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and
the UN System.

Living conditions and remarks
As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN
Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other
living essentials. National UN Volunteers receive a volunteer living allowance
to sustain a basic, adequate, and safe lifestyle. This allowance varies from
one location to another depending on local living costs, but all national UN
Volunteers in the same location receive the same allowance. Below is a summary
of the Conditions of Service. Allowances The purpose of allowances for national
UN Volunteers is to enable the national UN Volunteers to sustain a modest and
secure standard of living at the duty station. The allowances are in no way to
be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for volunteer
work. Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): All national UN Volunteers are entitled
to a monthly volunteer living allowance of USD 800. The purpose of this allowance
is to cover the basic living costs of the national UN Volunteer, and her or his
family when applicable. The allowance is to ensure that the volunteer can
sustain a basic, adequate, and safe lifestyle. The monthly allowance rate is a
fixed rate for the duty station as established by UNV headquarters.
Resettlement allowance: Eligible national UN Volunteers are entitled to receive
a resettlement allowance upon satisfactory completion of the assignment. The
allowance assists the volunteer to reintegrate into society both professionally
and personally upon completion of their UN Volunteer service.
