PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANTS (5 POSITIONS)

The University of Botswana, Civil Engineering Department is looking for Part-time Teaching Assistants for the academic year 2019/2020 in the following areas:

1.   Structures and Construction Materials (2)

2.   Water and Geotechnics (1)

3.   Mining and Mineral (1)

4.   Geomatics (1)

Duties: The successful applicant will be expected to: (i) assist with laboratory practicals and tutorials in the respective subjects; (ii) mark laboratory reports; ((iii) perform any responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Structures & Construction Materials, Water and Geotechnics: At least a BEng/BSc with 2.2 or better in Civil Engineering.

Geomatics: At least BEng/BSc with 2.2 or better in Geomatics/Land Surveying.

Mining & Mineral: At least a BEng/BSc with 2.2 or better in Mining/Mineral Engineering.

For all positions, preference will be given to those enrolled in the Department graduate programmes. Teaching experience will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: As per approved University of Botswana part time rates.
