The University is looking for a qualified, experienced and
highly motivated individual to lead the Directorate of Institutional Planning
function and also be part of the University Management.
FIXED CONTRACT POSITION: Appointment to the
advertised position shall be on fixed contract term of between twenty-four (24)
and sixty (60), months, which may be renewable, on the basis of satisfactory
performance.
The Director, Institutional Planning reports to the Vice
Chancellor and: leads the Directorate of Institutional Planning and ensure the
optimal delivery of its core mandate of carrying out research, and prepare
detailed plans and recommendations for institutional and physical growth of the
University, and to assist the University Management and Council with long term
strategic options for the development of the University, in particular, and
higher education and learning in Botswana in general.
REQUIREMENTS: (i) A Master’s degree in a
professional management discipline (educational planning and development,
business, finance, information management etc.) (ii) At least 5 years
experience in a similar planning function in a university or planning and
funding parastatal/agency; (iii) possess excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, analytical thinking skills, organizational and management
skills and computer proficiency. Possession of Masters/PhD Qualifications in
related fields will be an added advantage.
