Introduction	Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Theatre Stock Controller ensures that ordering, receiving and packing of stock is done according to policy. The incumbent will be responsible for controlling and monitoring stock movement within theatre stores and the operating theatres. Theatre stock controller must ensure that stock is ordered and received from Pharmacy timeously and that quality pharmaceutical services is provided to the hospital

Specification	Key Responsibilities •Ensures that items on formulary are available for theatre use, and where relevant alternatives are availed. Ordering timeously. •Sources new products for hospital use in consultation with nurses and doctors •Provide pharmaceutical information to health care professionals •Responsible for overall stock control in Theatre including, consignment and prosthesis management •Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction among theatre nursing staff, billing department, doctors, suppliers and pharmacy staff •Acquisition, control and distribution of stock and maintaining sufficient levels in Theatre
Requirements	Minimum Job Requirements Qualifications •A Diploma in Nursing from a recognized training institute, •Current registration with nursing council Experience •A minimum of 5 years Theatre Experience. Competency Requirements •Understanding of Healthcare Industry, Legislation, Regulation and Challenges •Current Pharmaceutical Product knowledge in drugs and surgical items •Good people management skills •Ability to update records, calculate costs, organize reports and carry out other administrative and clerical staff duties •Team work & Energetic
