Oxfam Canada is now seeking its next Director, Marketing
& Fund Development. Reporting to the Executive Director of Oxfam Canada and
as a key member of the senior management team, the Director provides strategic
leadership and effective direction to Oxfam Canada’s fundraising, marketing,
and communications. You will be looked upon to grow Oxfam Canada’s fundraising
revenues, align resources to drive performance, and build a larger and more
diversified donor base while ensuring effective stewardship of existing donors.
Overseeing a team of 12 staff, you will contribute to the
overall leadership and management of Oxfam Canada and will maintain an
environment in which Oxfam’s unionized staff feel valued, are productive and
accountable, and supported in their continuous learning and growth. As the
ideal candidate, you have a university degree in fundraising, management, or
another relevant discipline. An accreditation as a Certified Fund Raising
Executive (CFRE) or Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFE) is
considered an asset. Results-driven, highly analytical and solutions oriented,
you are recognized for your expertise and the rigor you bring to all aspects of
fundraising, particularly direct mail, planned giving, and major gifts. You
have proven skill in strategic and financial planning, risk management, and
team leadership, and a natural ability for building relationships,
communicating, and creating a seamless journey for Oxfam’s donors and
stakeholders by engaging them more deeply in support of its mission.
You are passionate, creative, energetic, and flexible in
adapting to changing and competing priorities, and to a wide range of cultural
and political settings. The ability to travel within Canada and internationally
is required.
