VACANCIES FOR GIS TECHNICIAN – NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AUDIT AND PRICING INTERN

This fast growing Company would like to invite suitably qualified, commercially oriented and self-driven individuals to apply for the following positions:


1. GIS TECHNICIAN – NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AUDIT (2 Year contract)
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Project Manager - Network Infrastructure Audit, the incumbent will be responsible for assessing, scrutinising, maintaining, coordinating and authenticating data before uploading into geodatabase ensuring data completeness and integrity. He/She will prepare related construction drawings and make certain that map products reflect correct geographical location of facilities, have standard cartographic quality and plot maps for use in field locations.

Job Responsibilities
1. Coordinates documentation of metadata for each feature theme and GIS activities with other facets of access network projects
2. Creates and generates map layouts and produces reports
3. Updates and maintains GIS databases, including backups and maintains linkages to other databases
4. Performs analysis on both spatial and non-spatial data
5. Develops detailed drawings and plans for all new telecommunications infrastructure
6. Plans the development of the network in line with Business and Network Strategy
7. Coordinates and liaises with other providers to acquire new mapping data
8. Produces cost effective access network design solutions

Academic Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should have attained the following:
• Higher National Diploma in Engineering or related ICT discipline with training or specialisation in GIS.
• A minimum of six years work experience in network planning or GIS office set-up.

2. PRICING INTERN (2 Year contract)
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Pricing Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with development of the relevant and competitive pricing of products and services with consideration of market forces, operational costs, financial and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities
1. Ensures pricing of products and services.
2. Provides pricing support in cross-functional teams to execute business development plans
3. Collects statistical data on pricing information.
4. Participates in day to day pricing offers and /or coordinates with sales/ bid teams and solution teams for timely deliverables to provide best fit offers for bids.
5. Provides updates and ensures the correct prices are availed to the sales team.
6. Maintains records and manages access of data pertaining to cost items that make up the pricing components.

Academic Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should have attained the following:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• Exposure to business analysis/financial analysis or management accounting will be an added advantage.
