LABORATORY MENTORS - BOTSWANA INSTITUTE FOR CLINICAL LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS



Job description

Botswana Institute for Clinical Laboratory Professionals is looking for a Laboratory Mentors to fill the vacant post in their Botswana Office.

Purpose of the job

The purpose of this job is to provide short-term mentoring support to medical laboratories to close quality management system gaps identified in CDC/ASLM Site Improvement through Monitoring Systems (SIMS) audits.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements


BSc or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related scientifi c discipline. The candidate should have served at least fi ve (5) years in a medical laboratory environment.
Training in any of the Quality Management Standards (ISO15189, ISO17025, ISO9001 or GCLP), SLMTA or any in-house QMS training
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of Laboratory Quality Management Systems
Demonstrated experience in the writing and review of SOPs and related quality management system documentation
Demonstrated experience in conducting training on any aspect of laboratory technical or quality management work
Priority will be given to BICLP members with valid membership

The Botswana Institute for Clinical Laboratory Professionals (BICLP) was established in 2011 to promote quality clinical laboratory practice in Botswana. In pursuit of its objectives BICLP is privileged to off er mentoring services to close performance gaps in CDC- assisted government medical laboratories. This activity is carried out in collaboration with the African Society for Clinical Laboratory Professionals (ASLM).
