Strategic Information Specialist
Reports to: Director for Site Improvement
Reports to: Director for Site Improvement
Position Summary:
The SI Specialist will work closely with
senior project and other staff to update and/or revise M&E and Performance
Framework for the program covering all intervention areas. The SI Specialist
will ensure that program evaluation and performance plans align with the Government
of Botswana’s relevant policy and strategic plan, PEPFAR performance
indicators, and other performance frameworks measuring HIV/AIDS related patient
and health systems outcomes.
Requirements
Essential Functions
Coordinate and oversee all monitoring and evaluation
activities under the program;
Develop program performance metrics and design program data collection strategies and tools
Develop and maintain project log-frame matrix, particularly in the areas of objective hierarchy, indicators and monitoring mechanisms;
Develop and maintain the overall framework for project M&E, such as annual project reviews, participatory impact assessments, process monitoring, operations monitoring and lessons-learned workshops;
Guide the process for identifying key performance parameters for monitoring project performance and comparing it to targets;
Liaise and coordinate with Government and donor initiatives on M&E activities and engage other stakeholders accordingly;
Coordinate quarterly performance dashboard review and program reporting activities;
Prepare and lead the process of program reporting to the donor and the Government of Botswana – both at national and county levels;
Generate internal program reports and make key recommendations for improving programming based on evidence;
Support the process of institutionalizing Data Demand and Information Use for all mentorship teams and supported facilities.

Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in Biostatistics/Epidemiology/Health
Informatics
Proficient use of common databases including SPSS, STATA, Epi Info
At least 5 years doing similar work
Excellent presentation and writing skills

PMTCT Coordinator
Reports To: Director for Site Improvement

Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support the MOH in its plan for PMTCT
Option B+ roll out including providing technical support to ensure successful
implementation of PMTCT Option B+ in all facilities in the country.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
- Support
provision of high quality PMTCT services within the district and health
facilities
- Directly
mentor health care workers at facility and district level
- Assist
MOH to develop innovative approaches to retain Mother-Baby pairs in care
- Assist
the facility with interfacing with community based care
- Assist
the MOH to review and disseminate relevant educational materials, teaching
aids and clinic reference materials for the delivery of high impact
interventions to improve Maternal and Infant HIV Care
- Participate
in monthly dashboard reviews of project clinical outcomes and utilize
project data to prioritize interventions related to Maternal-Child HIV
care
- Prepare
and submit monthly reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBCHB
or BSc in Nursing, preferably with additional speciality post graduate
training or training in public health
- Training
and/ or certifi cation in family planning and reproductive health is an
advantage.
- At
least 5 years recent clinical HIV care and treatment experience
- Knowledge
and experience of PMTCT programmatic and technical issues highly desired.
