DESCRIPTION
The Divisional Engineer is appointed in terms of
the MHSA as a 2.13.3.2 position, responsible for providing a
dedicated focus on maintaining and improving engineering standards and
procedures, in a production environment, to the Mine. The aim is to reduce operational
and business risks and protect the capital assets of the company.  The
incumbent must also support large capital projects in the Operation to
successful implementation.
The role forms part of the Engineering Management
team, while providing technical, consultancy and advisory support to the
Production Managers and all Engineering disciplines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides
     visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development and De Beers
     values.
 - Contributes
     to the development of the strategic mine plans and strategy.
 - Develops,
     implements and monitors engineering maintenance, risk and operational
     strategies and plans.
 - Provides
     and oversee production engineering sections and ensure equipment
     availability is adequate and maintained to meet operational goals.
 - Leads
     and manages resources to deliver production targets and projects as
     required.
 - Ensures
     compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety
     and risk management standards and best practices.
 - Establishes
     and maintains strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
 - Manages
     implements and contributes to continuous improvement and asset
     optimisation initiatives and projects for engineering processes.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- BTech
     or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
 - Government
     Certificate of Competence (Issued by DMR).
 - Seven
     years Post Engineering qualification experience with five
     years in mining.
 - Computer
     Literacy – MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook).
 - Code
     EB/Code 08 driver's license.
 - Successfully
     obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) on mine.
 - Your
