ANGLO AMERICAN PLATINUM –TWICKENHAM MINE – LIMPOPO PROVINCE – INTERNAL & EXTERNAL VACANCIES

The role:

This role is responsible for the execution of all physical construction related Pipes Tracks Salvage within the operations.

Technical work responsibilities:

·  Install a ladder way

·  Lift and remove a load with loading equipment

·  Construct and install a platform

·  Install and remove jump sets and sliding rails

·  Installation of sleepers, rails and drains

·  Installation of Rail Turn Out

·  Install and remove Air and Water pipes

·  Install and remove Ventilation pipes

·  Installation of a Man proof Barricade

·  Construct and equip a Mono Winch bed

·  Construct and equip a Winch bed

Core Work Outputs:

·  Effective construction support

Key responsibility:

·  Ensure high standard of safety in section

·  Operation of all equipment required by the role

·  Ensure that equipment is in good running order. 

·  Make sure that the construction area is safe, support early entry and exit inspections, bar face and install temporary support.

·  Install equipment and support in area, including preparation of material and making safe equipment for next blast.

·  Report abnormal activities to Supervisor

·  Assist during breakdowns or emergencies

·  Assist team member with task execution

·  Ensure that logistics can deliver material and clean box holes safely and effectively.

·  Support team members in the panels and logistics team if they require help

·  Help Logistics servicemen to maintain equipment

·  Effective two way communications with team members

·  Support the measurement of construction activities

·  Support the Supervisor to in identifying material requirements

·  Participate in required meetings including safety

·  Accurately complete role administration requirements

Required abilities:

·  Grade 10 Numeracy and Literacy

·  Found Competent as PTS

·  2yr Experience as PTS

Physical Requirements:

 ·  Certificate of Fitness
