The role:

The Mining Team Supervisor assist the Stoper/Developer in obtaining planned production, as safely as possible, in the most cost effective manner and within the framework of prescribed regulations and standards.

Core Work Outputs:

·  Maintaining safety

·  Supervising production

·  Managing subordinates

Key Responsibilities:

·  Maintaining safety

·  Safety examination.

·  Conducts waiting place examination and ensure the waiting place procedures are carried out.

·  Conducts early examination.

·  Monitors the application of Regulations, standards and safety in his section.

·  Conducts safety meetings.

·  Supervising production

·  Supervises cleaning operations.

·  Supervises support installation.

·  Support the achievement of production targets.

·  Supervises drilling operations.

·  Supervises charging up operations.

·  Supervises night shift operations.

·  Conducts end of shift procedures.

·  Managing subordinates

·  Effective two-way communications with team members.

·  Inducts new employees to section.

·  Maintains disciplines of subordinates.

·  Conducts meetings.

·  Gives instructions.

·  Do on the job-training.

·  Handles grievances.

Required abilities:

·  Standard 8 level education or equivalent

·  Three years related underground experience

·  Competent as Mining Team Supervisor

Physical Requirements:

·  Certificate of Fitness

·  Able to pass heat stress tests
