PORTFOLIO EXECUTIVE – STRUCTURED FINANCE
Main Purpose of the Job
To assist the structured finance team in the
delivery of its mandate to support citizen economic participation &
empowerment through the provision of advisory services for access to its
products & services with a primary emphasis on equity funding. To review
proposals and make recommendations to the Internal Investment Committee in
order for them to make informed investment decisions. Through the monitoring of
the approved transactions to provide technical support and advisory services;
to promote sustainable business development and engender an entrepreneurial
culture and promote skills development for the promoters of these businesses.
The position reports to Head of Structured
Finance.

Position Requirements
Education: A Degree in Finance, Economics,
Accounting, Banking or related area preferably at an advanced level
Experience: At least five (5) years relevant
industry experience, 2 of which should be in private equity and venture capital
funding, corporate finance, fund management and corporate lending in a
commercial banking, or development financial institution.
Thorough knowledge of Botswana’s business environment
is key.
Participation in the Board of Directors of a small
and medium enterprise operating as a going concern will be an added advantage.

2. INVESTMENT ANALYST – STRUCTURED FINANCE
Main Purpose of the Job
The Investment Analyst will have the ability to
understand the functions of the department, as well as explain with a measure
of authority the criteria necessary to qualify for funding to interested
parties. The Analyst will provide support to the Portfolio Executive including
deal origination, transaction processing, participation in due diligence
reviews, portfolio monitoring and continuous evaluation of investments to
determine qualification for exit.
The position reports directly to Portfolio
Executive-Structured Finance.

Position Requirements
Education: Degree in Finance, Economics,
Accounting, Banking or related disciplines.
Experience: At least 3 to 4 years’
experience in finance or business related field and thorough knowledge of both
Botswana’s business environment including the business environment of the SADC
region and the problems facing Batswana entrepreneurs locally and in the
context of SADC. One (1) year Private Equity or Venture Capital experience will
be an added advantage.
