EXAMINERS FOR PSLE
NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS (REF: EAC - PSLE 01/04/2014)
Applications are
invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to mark examinations
scripts for the 2014 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE).
Qualifications: A minimum of a recognized Primary
Training Certificate, equivalent or higher qualification.
Experience: At least five (5) years continuous
teaching experience in a primary school. Specialization in Agriculture and
languages would be more preferable and experience in marking Primary School
Leaving Examinations will be an added advantage.
Competencies:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated record of attainment in the subject
• High level of accountability
• Attention to details
• Results oriented
All applicants must be in service at institutions
that prepare candidates for the PSLE certificate. They should also indicate
their preferred subject(s) provided they have teaching experience in those
subjects.
EXAMINERS
FOR JCE NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS (REF: EAC - JCE 02/04/2014)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified
candidates who wish to mark examinations scripts for the 2014 Junior
Certificate Examinations (JCE).
Qualifications: A minimum of a Diploma in
Secondary Education or any post Senior Secondary qualification in the subject.
Experience: At least five (5) years
continuous teaching experience in the subject. Experience in marking Junior
Certificate Examination will be an added advantage.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated record of attainment in the subject
• High level of accountability
• Attention to details
• Results oriented

FOR BGCSE NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS (REF: EAC - BGCSE 03/04/2014)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified
candidates who wish to mark examinations scripts for the 2014 Botswana General
Certificate of Secondary Examinations. (BGCSE)
Qualifications: A minimum of Bachelor’s
Degree in Education or Bachelor’s Degree with a professional teaching
qualification (PGDE) or equivalent. A Master’s Degree in Education will be an
added advantage. Training as an examiner or moderator in the subject is a
requirement.
Experience: At least three (3) years
continuous teaching experience in the subject. Experience in marking BGCSE
national examinations will be an added advantage.

• Demonstrated record of attainment in the subject
• High level of accountability
• Attention to details
• Results oriented
All applicants must be in service at institutions
that prepare candidates for the BGCSE certificate. They should also indicate
their preferred subject(s) provided they have teaching experience in those
subjects.
Application forms must be sent by registered mail
or hand delivered to the address indicated below. Receipts issued by the post
office must be kept as proof of postage. Application forms can be obtained from
school heads. Kindly attach to the application form, certified copies of
certificates and O’mang. Completed application forms must reach Botswana
Examinations Council on or before the close of business on the 25th April 2014 at
16:30 pm. Application forms received after the closing date or with inadequate
information will not be considered.
Application forms are also available on the BEC
website www.bec.co.bwNote that all applications must be routed through the
School Head for schools / Institution Principal for Colleges or Regional
Directors for other personnel of Ministry of Education Skills and Development
for recommendation and that the above mentioned authorities should forward the
application forms to BEC. Applications not so routed will not be considered.
