1.ARTISAN-FITTER

Job Reference: ACU-AF

Location: Mowana Mine

Position type: Permanent

Key Performance Areas:

Reporting to mechanical foreman, you will be responsible for:

•Carrying out maintenance of plant & equipment, as stipulated in relevant maintenance procedures, statutory and domestic regulations.
•Undertaking tasks assigned safely within predetermined time

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidates must have the following;

•BGCSE/O’levels plus a recognized 4 years trade apprenticeship (NCC)
•At least 3 years’ experience in mining industry or related industry
•A clean class B drives’ licence

2.ASSISTANT MINE GEOLOGIST

Job Reference: ACU-AMG

Location: Mowana Mine

Position type: Permanent

Key Performance Areas:

Reporting to Senior Mine Geologist, Assistant Mine Geologist will be responsible for:

providing an effective geological service to meet the mine planning, ore extraction, ore processing functioning needs
•Geological Mapping- daily mapping of the pit floors, pit walls and mining faces
•Supervision of Sampling- ensure accurate sampling and logging of chippings of all blast holes drilled within and on the periphery of the Ore body
•Grade Control – ensure Ore mining faces are demarcated as per grade control model
•Stockpile Management – ensure Ore is stockpiled according to grade
•Core logging – ensure all infill diamond drilled core is logged, sampled and assayed.

Job Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or equivalent
•2 years’ experience in hard rock mining preferably open pit

3.MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Reference: ACU- MEO

Location: Mowana Mine

Position type: Permanent

Key Responsible Areas:

Reporting to the Shift Coordinator, the Mobile Equipment Operator will be responsible for;
•Concentrate bagging
•Operate skidsteer, Front End Loader, Backhoe loader, Forklift and Excavator
•Offloading of steel balls of delivery
•Offloading and preparing chemicals
•Housekeeping

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have the following;
•BGCSE/O’level
•Class H Licence or MTTC Training Certificate on the stated machines will be required
