VACANCY: DRD 2014/01 – ASSISTANT RESEARCH
TECHNICIAN (CHEMISTRY)- 6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Main Purpose of the Job:
•To perform routine chemical analysis of food control and related tasks, including sample handling and preparation, maintaining equipment and the environment of the laboratory in conditions appropriate for analytical work according to approved and documented procedures.
Key Effectiveness Areas:
•Rapid Analysis turnaround time
•Accurate record keeping
•High level competency in equipment use and test method performance
•Cleanliness of laboratory equipment and facilities
Position Requirements:
•A minimum Diploma in Laboratory Technology or Analytical Chemistry or equivalent qualification is required.
•Experience in food analysis or similar chemical analysis or similar chemical analysis (in particular using AAS, GC or HPLC) in a commercial laboratory would be an added advantage.
Remuneration and Benefits:
•5,000.00 BWP per month
•Severance Benefit
•50 % Contributory Medical Aid
