DEMONSTRATORS/TEACHING ASSISTANTS IN STRUCTURES 

VACANCY NO: FET/CE 5/2014                 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the posts of Demonstrator/Teaching Assistant in Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Duties: The successful applicants will be expected to: (i) conduct and mark tutorials and tests in Structures and related areas (ii) participate in other academic activities geared towards supporting the teaching of Structures and (iii) carry out any other duties that will be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Demonstrator: candidate should have:  (i) a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6; (ii) Candidates are expected to have shown strong performance in Structures related courses at undergraduate level; (iii) Some teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be an  added advantage.

Teaching Assistant: candidate should have: (i) a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6; (ii) Candidates are expected to have shown strong performance in Structures related courses at undergraduate level.
