PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Sponsorship Efficiency Programme Manager will provide programme and project management, supporting all projects and initiatives of the Sponsorship Efficiency workstream and select projects from Sponsorship Operations and Global Services. The role will include programme- and project-level planning and management, as well as monitoring and reporting of the status of simultaneous projects and initiatives against their plans, budgets and schedules. This position will work closely with organisational partners and other workstreams within the programme and project teams to ensure effective coordination between the various partners and projects and successful achievement of the objectives and deliverables of the Sponsorship Efficiency workstream. This position will also identify opportunities for synergy and coordinate integration between initiatives and projects of other functions as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Strategic Planning and Management:
  • Lead the multi-year programme and project planning and budgets with participation from all relevant stakeholders to achieve workstream goals and priorities.
  • Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
  • Championing the Efficiency Portfolio, its vision and goals throughout the Partnership.
  • Mapping all programme and individual sub-project timelines and milestones.
  • Effective coordination of all sub-project streams, their interdependencies and dependencies.
  • Maintaining overall integrity and coherence of the programme, and creating the innovative space and collaborative environment to support each individual project within it.
  • Managing the efficiency roadmap and ensuring that the capabilities delivered are aligned with it and support the partnership vision.
  • Working with the EPMO, contextualise the adoption and implementation of defined project management methods, standards and processes with input from the Director, Strategy and Special Projects.
  • Coordinate with organisational partners to ensure their contribution to the project plans of the workstream and that their functional priorities and initiatives are informed by each other.
  • Develop and establish metrics and measurement processes for tracking progress towards achieving the workstream goals and project outcomes.
Program and Project Management:
  • Ensuring that the delivery of outputs or services from the projects meet programme requirements in line with the efficiency roadmap, and measures up to defined quality, timing and budget commitments.
  • Identifying, monitoring and driving resolution of all programme risks and mitigation plans.
  • Building and managing the programme’s budget, monitoring the one-time expenditures and recurring costs against budget as the programme progresses.
  • Resolving programme issues or conflicts by removing barriers, direct communication and escalation to the appropriate persons as necessary.
  • Reporting status, progress, risks & issues of the programme at regular intervals to the Senior Director, Efficiency Advisory Board and Partnership Leader Child Sponsorship.
  • Monitoring the overall Efficiency programme budget and reporting out at regular intervals on all sub project costs code budgets.
  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams and managing internal and external suppliers to the programme.
  • Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise.
Knowledge Management
  • Manage and support various website leads by providing current information and coordinating with related functions.
  • Ensure that Sponsorship Efficiency resources and documentation are accessible to the Partnership, including regular updating as required.
  • Establish and manage necessary mechanisms and processes to regularly update information related to the Efficiency workstream and sponsorship data in the assigned area of responsibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Required:
  • Must be highly self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the programme management team, senior managers, the project teams and third-party service providers.
  • Ability to lead by influence to deliver strong performance from the programme team.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with business stakeholders and external partners of varied backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to manage expectations of business customers and senior management by proactive planning and frequent, intentional communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and virtual influencing skills.
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills and ability to present well to a variety of audiences.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in project leadership roles including those directing and motivating complex physical and virtual project teams.
  •  
Preferred:
  • MSP (Managing Successful Programs) Certification or Program Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Prince2 Project Management Certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Business and technical knowledge of World Vision, its core values and operating model.
  • Ability to travel extensively (estimated at 25% for international travel).
