Head of Commercial

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Commercial is responsible for directing and leading the delivery of the strategy through the effective management of the core business departments. The role requires strong operationsbackground, as well as demonstrable business acumen. The portfolio includes Product Development, Sales, Marketing & PR, Business Development and 3P Logistics.


Job description
  • Leading development and implementation of the Departmental Strategy ensuring the effective use of resources.
  • Effective management of operations, including planning and resourcing.
  • Managing Strategic projects.
  • Overseeing the development of of strategies for exploring new market opportunities, ensuring products are created, marketed and delivered to customers.
  • Developing strategic partnerships to enable delivery of strategy.
  • Developing Strategies for ensuring consistent, safe and timely delivery of services to customers through the company's network.
Requirements, Education and Experience
Education
Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business or related area.

Experience
10 years' experience of which 4 must have been at Senior Management Level in a medium to large entreprise. Must have strong analytical skills, proposal writing skills, presentation skills and management skills. An in-depth understanding of the operational and strategic issues involving sales, marketing, brand management and logistics with the ability to influence stakeholders and people management skills.
