International Mining Client is in search of a motivated
Geophysicist, with a strong interest in exploration and discovery, to join
their dynamic exploration team.
Responsibilities:
Report to the GM Exploration
Work within the exploration team on Greenfield and Brownfield base metal discovery projects in Africa and UK
Coordinate and manage geophysical field surveys
Coordinate contractors
Advise on geophysical techniques and survey specs
Processing, interpretation and integration of geophysical data
Manage in-house geophysical equipment
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
BSc Honours degree Geophysics (or higher)
8 years practical field experience
Base metal exploration experience
Proficiency in Geosoft, Maxwell and ArcGIS
Able and willing to travel (50% of role)
Contractual information:
Office based in Johannesburg
Travel to exploration sites and mining projects
South African citizens or residents encouraged to apply
