Key Performance Areas
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate databasedevelopment and determine project scope.
• Modify and manage existing database system and or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
• Plan coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorised damage, modification or disclosure
• Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases
• Specify users and user access levels for each segment of the system
• Train users on the system
Experience and Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
• Professional qualification will be an added advantage
• At least 5 years IT related experience covering deployment of large IT systems
• In depth experience on working on database management systems such as Oracle or SQL server
• Experience in requirements gathering and documentation analysis and solution design, test plan preparation, user training, pilot preparation planning and execution
• Solid understanding of software paradigms such as object oriented programming and relational database modelling are desirable.
