ASSET MANAGEMENT INTERNAL AUDITOR SENIOR Durban, South Africa | Salary range between R450k - R500k Per Annum Our client is looking for an exceptional and experienced Asset Management Internal Audit Senior who is self-motivated, bright and thrives on challenges The successful candidate will work on-site with senior staff, including the CEO, Head: Operations and Finance to develop the Asset Management and Investment internal audit program, perform various audits, and manage the function, reporting the Financial Services Group Internal Audit Manager Take ownership and accountability for the asset management and investment related internal audits; including responsibilities regarding outsourced service providers; Assist in the identification, documentation and evaluation of the company's financial and operational internal controls. Perform various audits at corporate and subsidiary locations. Work would include process documentation, interviews/walkthroughs, audit testing, and documentation of results/deficiencies. Must have a good understanding of general IT controls, application controls and extensive exposure to asset management and investment controls and processes. Assist in the preparation of board quality audit reports to Audit Committee and members of senior management. Work directly with the Financial Services Group Internal Audit Manager to prepare the Internal Audit Plan and report the results of audit reviews and testing. Assist in the development of a combined assurance approach and work with, and co-ordinate the work with external audit, when required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree in finance/ BCom. 3 - 6 years’ experience in internal audit with emphasis on both Asset Management and Investments (preferably with CIS and Brokerage internal audit experience) Professional certification as a CA (SA), CIA is preferable, with additional relevant qualification.
