PART-TIME LECTURER POSITION IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING (1 Position - Structures)

The University of Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Temporary Full-Time /Part-Time Lecturer to teach courses in the area of Structural Engineering. Courses to be taught in Semester 1 (August to December 2013) are: Structural Design, Theory of Structures for Architecture students, and Engineering Materials. Preference will be given to citizens.

Duties:  Mainly teaching, setting and invigilating tests/examinations, marking and other related duties in the B.Eng. programme. 

Requirements:  Applicants must have (i) at least a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent; (ii) Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least a 2(i) pass / GPA of at least 3.6; obtained from a recognized university;(iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a PhD in Project or Construction Management or related field and teaching experience at a University or comparable institution as well as demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages
