LECTURER POSITIONS

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach Communication and Academic Literacy courses to undergraduate students in any of the following Faculties: Humanities, Business, Science, Education, Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences and Social Sciences; (ii) conduct research in relevant areas; (iii) render professional service and carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Deputy Director of the Unit.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Communication Studies, Applied Linguistics, Academic Literacy or related fields; and (ii) a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least a 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6.  Applicants should also show evidence of engagement in research and service. A relevant PhD, teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.

N.B: Applicants are requested to provide details of their Master’s Degree dissertation.

Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
