IRC 806 - MAINTENANCE OFFICER
Duties: The successful candidate will be
expected to: (i) receive, complete and certify job cards and take
responsibility for completion and quality of work; (ii) carry out building
repair and maintenance work in accordance with job requirements and
specifications; (iii) draw necessary tools, materials and equipment for each
job; (iv) ensure proper use and security of tools, materials and equipment: (v)
plan and organize work to ensure that it is completed within budget (cost
effective) and within a reasonable time frame; (vi) supervise minor building
projects and ensure that buildings and projects are constructed in accordance
with drawings and specifications; (vii) carry out monthly inspection to detect
defects and faults in ORI buildings and attend to those (viii) perform any
other duties as may be directed by the supervisor.
Requirements: Education; COSC/BGCSE with
National Craft Certificate (NCC) as a building artisan and completion of an
appropriate apprenticeship.
Experience: At least two years as a Building
Trades Artisan with a wide range of knowledge of the building related trades
and with competences of organizational and supervisory skills and Interpersonal
communication skills.
