Clover Chemical Industries (Pty) Ltd is looking for suitably qualified DISPATCH MANAGER. The successful applicant must have a positive outlook and the ability to multi-task work effectively under pressure
Responsibilities and Attributes
Continually assess the service level and provide recommendations to Managers regarding opportunities to improve operational performance
Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators and cost factors impacting operational effectiveness
Effectively communicate with customers on regular basis regarding core transportation issues impacting the customer and the effectiveness and efficiency of the fleet
Ensure compliance with safety programs and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations
Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock (OOS)
Submitting purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) to internal databases
Placing orders to replenish merchandise as needed
Organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish activities
Evaluate supplier's offers and negotiate profitable deals
Coordinate regular inventory audits
Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
Ensure purchases do not exceed budget

Education/Experience
BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
3-5 years experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
Knowledge of Inventory management software (e.g Sage, Arch, Ulti-sales)
Good communication and negotiation abilities
Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators and cost factors impacting operational effectiveness
Effectively communicate with customer on a regular basis regarding core transportation issues impacting the customer and the effectiveness and efficiency of the fleet
Language skills: Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal
