BOTSWANA RAILWAYS CAREERS: COST ACCOUNTANT

Botswana Railways invites applications from suitably qualified Accountants to fill the position of Cost Accountant tenable within the Finance and Corporate Services Department in Botswana Railways Headquarters-Mahalapye.

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting directly to the Director Finance and Corporate Services within Botswana Railways, the candidate will be responsible for collecting and analysing the business financial information through the application of modern accounting techniques to determine the cost of business products and services. Lead in the development and verification of relevant data to conduct a compa-ratio analysis of actual costs against the internal business estimates and recommend appropriate variance mitigation factors.

Position Requirements:

Educational:
Accounting Degree qualification plus fully qualifi ed ACCA, CA or CIMA and Membership to
BICA or any other Accounting Professional Body.

Experience: Minimum of Five (5) years cost accounting experience at a Management level and knowledge of Accounting Software or ERP systems.
