VACANCY NO: IRC 788 - FACILITY MANAGER
Duties: The successful candidate will report to
the Director, Campus Services and will be expected to plan, organize, develop,
manage and control the provision of building and civil works maintenance,
estates and property management and environmentally safe facilities. To
optimise the cost effective utilization of available resources, maximize the
useful life of the University’s physical infrastructure and maintain the
University environs in a safe, welt kept and tidy condition at all times to
enhance the aesthetic appearance of the institution.
Requirements: Applicants must have (i)
A Degree in building, civil engineering, construction management, estates
management or related area; (ii) At least two years managerial experience in
facilities maintenance and management in a major organisation with extensive
premises and range of physical plant, building envelop and building systems
audits; (iii) Experience in building management systems and computerized
facilities management software would be an added advantage; (iv) Training in
management, budgeting and cost control is essential.
Competencies: Applicants must have leadership and
managerial skills; (ii) Organisational and communications skills and (iii)
Assertive, innovative and pro-active.
