To strategically manage and control all operations for the Botswana Business and remain Accountable Principal Officer and provide Leadership on all Client related activities, operations affecting profitability of the office and People Management. Co-determine long-term strategic objectives with Shareholding of the business in ensuring Botswana Group growth.
Co-determine long-term strategic objectives of the business in ensuring Botswana Group growth through directing and managing business operations activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organisational strategy.  To plan, direct and manage the performance of the division's operations, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by Country Exco/ Board, so as to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the agreed business strategy.  To be responsible for service excellence, risk management and cost effectiveness with respect to operations in Botswana.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Define and communicate overall Botswana Strategy,
  • Lead the Team in its strategic planning process
  • Ensure execution of defined and accepted strategy
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring mechanisms are in place to track progress
  • Review effectiveness of strategy and goals
  • Scan the environment for new trends
  • Monitor and manage cost to serve by service
  • Build and maintain exceptional internal and external Client relationships
  • Risk Management for the country
Problem Solving        
  • Solve complex business problems
  • Analyse information and select best solution from a range of alternative solutions
Leadership     
  • Develop Leadership Team to achieve strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain desired organisational culture
  • Have working knowledge of the business
  • Model required leadership behaviour and values
Decision Making and Accountability
  • Make appropriate long-term strategic objectives of the business in ensuring business growth
  • Plan, direct and manage the performance of the division, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by Country Exco/ Board
  • Responsible for service excellence, risk management and cost effectiveness
  • Accountable for all operations and operational decisions
  • Get sign-off from the Group on achievement of strategic goals and objectives
  • To use specific knowledge and expertise to define strategies that provides business solutions.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 year’s business unit finance and operations experience of the 10 years’ experience, at least 3 years must have been spent in a senior executive role in an African country
  • Understanding of Client experience, how it works and how you can improve it.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen
  • At least 5 years working within a financial services environment
