Purpose
Conceptualise, create, edit and proofread content across the
Group internal and external channels and product related material
Key Role Responsibilities:
Review All Current Content Across All Existing Channels:
- Customer
communications –emailers, letters, SMSs
- The
Junction
- All
content on the Group’s website
- All
product brochures
- Learning
material
- Scripts
for IVRs
- Ensure
material is clear, consistent, complete and credible and that text is well
written, grammatically correct and accessible
- Responsible
for taking initial material, or the copy, and make it ready and
appropriate for publication/channel and that it aligns with the Language
and Brand Style guide
Write Original Content as Required for All Channels
Above, in Addition to Below:
- Group
mailers
- Comms
Café
- Learning
material
- Scripts
for IVRs
- Content
for Social Media and Digital channels
- Interim
and annual reports
- Writing
original content
- Subedit
and rework if necessary
- Ability
to keep authors voice after editing - Group voice or executive voice

for and follow Language and Brand Style Guide
- Ensure
all copy is of a high standard
- Write
catchy headlines for print and online
- Check
facts
- Check
with legal and compliance
- Proof
Read Content as Required from Internal Stakeholders
- Subedit
and rework if necessary
- Ability

- Check
for and follow Language and Brand Style guide
- Ensure
all copy is of a high standard
- Write
catchy headlines for print and online
Maintain Language and Brand Style guide and keep Group
Bankers up to Date as Required:
- This
document is always a work in progress
- Add/change
rules as required and agreed
- Hold
workshops to ensure relevant Groups are always up to date with the latest
version
Minimum Requirements
- 3-year
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Copywriting, Journalism, Communications or
Marketing
- 10+
years of experience as a technology journalist, digital content producer,
digital copywriter, digital communications or media practitioner, or
digital marketer.

- A
thorough knowledge of English language
- A
methodical working style
- Concentration,
accuracy and great attention to detail
- The
ability to multitask
- Tact
and diplomacy for negotiating changes with authors
- The
ability to work to tight deadlines
- Self-motivation
- IT
skills, CMS systems etc. as required
