I&J is seeking to attract an analytical, qualified professional with a passion for insights and planning to join the Domestic Sales and Marketing department, based in Woodstock. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Channel Manager and be responsible for the timely execution of brand, category and customer initiatives to deliver growth and profitability targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform channel analysis for strategic accounts to filter through multiple data sources to assist the Channel-, Marketing- and Sales Team in building strategies that drive results.
Provide objective, fact-based, value-added insights
Report on Point of Sale, Category and Shopper Channel trends
Evaluation of promotional execution and ROI
Perform competitive analyses by category, brand and package to identify trends, opportunities and challenges to core business areas
Monitor competitor activity trends, with scenario impacts on relevant categories
Provide support on Forecasting and Demand planning by aligning ROS and promotional uplift data (on-promo and off-promo volumes) against promotional grid

Experience Required
A minimum of 2 years' Channel/Trade/Customer/Shopper experience within the FMCG Industry as an Analyst
Competent in using Aztec/IRI, Dunnhumby, 5One or Nielsen data
Minimum Qualifications Required
A completed Commerce degree in Statistics / Business Management / Economics / Marketing or related
Knowledge Required
Ability to interpret market, trade, retailer, shopper, category and consumer data and trends
Understanding category and brand strategies
Ability to analyse market data and financials (e.g. retail sales, basket data, market sizing, pricing analysis and opportunity analysis)
Proficiency with 3rd Party Data Packages such as Aztec/IRi, DataOrbis, Dunnhumby, or 5One (PnP)
Understanding of hard data set-up, data hierarchies and quality control procedures relating to EPOS / Basket data
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
