LECTURER IN THEATRE STUDIES IN THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

(2 years contract position)

VACANCY NO: FH/ VAPA 1/ 2015

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching practical and theoretical areas in Theatre: in particular she/he should be able to teach at least two of the following four fields; Acting and Movement.  Theatre Ethics, Design and technology. She/ he will also undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Programme and will be expected to contribute to the academic standing and good reputation of the Visual and Performing Arts Programme by engaging in research, publications and/or external professional activities.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Theatre/ Performance Studies or related fields; (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre/ Performance Studies or related fields with at least a 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD, teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
