SHAREPOINT ARCHITECT

The role: This role will be responsible for the development and enhancement of business-changing enterprise solutions with SharePoint and other leading-edge technologies. They will collaborate with users across the global organisation and the development team to architect, plan and deliver industry leading solutions. They will also be responsible for developing and adapting existing business solutions as well as creating new solutions.


Required qualifications and experience:
Essential
  • computing degree - BSc, BA or equivalent experience
  • expertise in SharePoint 2013 implementations
  • expertise in SharePoint development (including C#, ASP .NET / MVC / SQL / HTML / CSS / JavaScript)
  • experience in SQL Server or equivalent databases
  • experience in developing and consuming RESTful web services
  • strong understanding of object oriented programming and design
  • varied information system and commercial business experience
  • experience and knowledge of key SharePoint functional abilities such as: sites, communities, content, search, insights, workflows, and composites
  • detailed knowledge of SharePoint architecture and security, with a clear understanding of how the platform is structured as a tiered service with 'least-privileges execution'
  • significant experience of best practice techniques such as using structured reusable code and various data analysis techniques
  • knowledge of configuration/change management and the tools to support collaborative and efficient code development
  • understanding of the need for comprehensive formal technical documentation such as user requirements, functional specifications, able to translate these into the creation of programming, test and UAT scripts
  • strong team leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside their reporting line
  • good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
  • proven ability to explain complex technical ideas and problems clearly to non-experts
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • cultural awareness and experience of delivering solutions internationally (e.g. developing multi-lingual systems)
  • the right to work in the UK
Desirable
  • MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications Development
  • MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development (or 2013 version)
  • MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 (or 2013 version)
  • MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010
  • non-profit sector knowledge/experience
  • experience of working within an agile project delivery environment
  • experience in working with offshore project team members
  • experience of dealing with external consultants / software suppliers
  • experience with Git version control
  • experience with JIRA
Salary: £60,000
