Overall Job Purpose
Recruitment
§ Manage the
execution of end to end recruitment process
§ Ensure
smooth functioning of the process with compliance to procedures and policy
guidelines; Lead the team into Organizational Growth and maximization of
revenue, to proactively build relationships with Clients, Vendors, &
Organizations
HR Operations
§ To manage
HR Ops function for all locations of BSS including payroll, on-boarding,
screening, SAP / Taleo updation and related compliances.
Business HR
§ Support
the Business HR Manager in developing and implementing BHR activities related
to retention and employee advocacy for the respective business unit. Key focus
on employees in the advisory role. Single point of contact for the operations
team on issues related to employee engagement, redressal of queries grievances
and escalations. Responsible for supporting implementation of Corporate HR
initiatives and ensuring understanding and adherence to HR processes and
policies within the Business unit.
Total Rewards
§ Managing
day-to-day activity within the Comp & Bens team, as well as supporting on
annual processes and ad hoc projects
§ To manage
the delivery of Performance Development and Management System for Barclays
Shared Service
§ Contribute
to the development and implementation of BSS-wide reward initiatives that helps
foster the Intrinsic "reward" elements that contribute to Internal
value or motivation of employees.
Main Accountabilities
Recruitment
§ Fulfilling
all requisitions raised by Transition / Operations and ensure that they are
closed within TAT with all the Specification being met.
§ Ensuring
decent joining conversion out of the total offers being placed within the given
TAT.
§ Making
sure that requisitions are received from Transition / Operations and are
properly maintained, monitored and executed
§
Maintaining an optimal retention rate for all new joiners 0-90 days keeping the
attrition for new joiners under control
§ Utilizing
all the available resources for hiring to their maximum potential & at the
lowest cost possible. Driving new ideas to enhance the hiring capacity &
reduce the hiring cost consistently.
§ Managing
end-to-end Internal job posting (IJP) process from organization's perspective
§ Liaison
with recruitment vendors to ensure smooth execution of the sourcing activities
(End-to-end Vendor Management)
Compliance
§ Ensuring
all compliances are met with respect to those mandated by Barclays Group and
Regulatory relevant to the function being handled.
§
Participating in all audits pertaining to the function and ensuring successful
closures.
§ Ensuring
all controls listed under function RCAs (Risk and Control Assessments) are
properly documented and are being operating effectively.
§ Escalating
issue to the notice of Manager- HR / Leader- HR Ops and Compliance, if
required.
§ Performing
conformance testing, management self assessments, publishing test results to
Head- HR.
§ Retaining
evidences of test performed
§ Coordinate
with the onshore team for compliance requirements, providing all evidences as
required by the onshore or any third party audit spoc
Payroll
§ To ensure
error-free payroll processing and timely payments for all BSS employees.
§ Employee
Exit formalities are performed in line with the standard exit process
§ Ensuring
all compliances are met with respect to those mandated by Barclays Group and
Regulatory relevant to the function being handled.
§
Participating in all audits pertaining to the function and ensuring successful
closures.
§ Managing
the suppliers and their performance with respect to function.
§ Ensuring
all controls listed under function RCAs (Risk and Control Assessments) are
properly documented and are being operating effectively.
§ Escalating
issue to the notice of Manager- HR / Leader- HR Ops and Compliance, if
required.
§ People
Management skills, including designing of job descriptions, KROs and assessing
team performance at regular intervals or as governed by Barclays Group PD
Policy
Business HR
§ Ensure
completion of all DC&G case investigations per policy, including filing of
all DC&G documents and tracker updation per guidelines
§ Ensure all
new hires have completed required trainings and documentation procedures as
part of BSS induction. Responsible for initial contact and acclimatization of
new hire within the business unit.
§ To act as
an interface between the Corporate HR teams, Top Management & Operations
Teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of processes,
policies and initiatives.
§ Ensuring
100% coverage of PD training for all evaluators in respective units and
adherence to appraisal timelines set by rewards team.
§
Responsible for closure on PD/KRO documents filing for respective units as per
timelines as well as closure on distribution of PD letters and filing for
respective units as per timelines
§ Handle all
queries, grievances and escalations from employees on the floor and ensure the
same are resolved within committed timelines.
§ Ensure
timely roll out of policies within the business unit.
§ Ensuring
100% completion for respective units on open items in compliance audits for
BIA, ISO and/ or SOX compliance.
§ Ensure
accuracy and timeliness of daily, weekly and monthly MIS for respective
stakeholders.
§ Driving
mid year and year end EOS for respective units for >90% penetration .
Conducting FG's after EOS results and action planning & implementation for
respective units
§ Ensure
implementation of EWS process, conduct monthly EWS red meetings and publish
monthly EWS deck for respective units.
§ Conducting
100% exit interviews for A&B players
§ Updation
of central exit interview tracker
§ Publishing
monthly EE calendar as per timelines
§ Conduct
monthly Skips/FGD's
§ Conducting
monthly fun/cultural activities
§ Ensure
monthly R&R town-halls for units
§ Auditing
monthly/quarterly1X1's for respective units
§ Change
management -
§ Identify
and implement process improvements in BHR activities.
§ Identify
opportunities for best practice sharing related to BHR activities
§ Ensure IJP
process implementation including timelines and selection process within
business unit
§ Adherence
to promotion policy guidelines within business unit
General Analytics
§ Deliver
regular and insightful dashboards, reports , presentation and tools designed to
educate, inform and influence the business decisions
§ Management
of data and reports obtained through various applications, functions, and
sources.
§ Conduct
analyses of varying complexities pertaining to employee data , demographics,
compensation et al, with emphasis on identifying trends, dependencies,
variables that influence overall reward elements
§ Take
ownership and responsibility for identifying opportunities to improve
Management Information quality pertaining to Total Rewards.
§ Design and
implement of monitoring mechanisms, to help track operational performance.
§ Spot and
maximize value added reporting metrics, through proactive research into any
variances in operational performance and identify underlying causes.
§ Provide
analytical support within the Reward team, and/or specific Functional Business
Units on various reward elements, metrics and targets.
§ Present clear,
concise, effective communication of observations and recommendations in a
logical, compelling and influential manner, which will ensure stakeholder
understands and can action.
§ Communicate and
report on the plans and progress towards key metrics and targets on a regular
basis to management and stakeholders, Cluster and Group audiences as required.
§ Coordinate the
development and implementation of analytical tools and pay round spreadsheet
solutions that improve the year end Pay round experience
§ Manage and
maintain confidentiality of critical and sensitive information
§ rives
adherence to Rewards & PD Global Standards, RCA, governance framework and
other compliances. Manage BIA/SOX and other critical audits from Rewards
perspective
§ Provide
value-driven information to various departments whenever needed
§ Performing
random audits to ensure error free record capturing and reporting

Performance Management
§ Ensure
compliance of the Performance Development (PD) process as per the Barclays PD
Global Standard [ Policy, Calendar, definitions, changes ]
§ Ensure all
SOX, BIA and Internal /External Audits relating to Performance Development
Process, are tracked and fully compliant.
§ Undertake
research/analysis of Performance Development data
§ Data-mining
of all PD Records, and reports circulated intra/ inter department across BSS.
§ Upkeep and
design of the BSS Performance Development Intranet webpage.
§
Collaborate with Corporate Affairs team to develop and manage complete
Internal-communication plan pertaining to Performance Management for BSS
§ Develop a
robust and streamlined process for "managing underperformers, and
capability Issues "across all functions at BSS.
§ Address
concerns related to performance management, raised by Business HR and Senior
Leadership at BSS, and GRB Rewards
§ Endeavour
to establish clear linkages between HR tools like incentive programs,
talent management, role profiles , Job evaluation , IJP and Promotion Policy
§ Ensure end-to-end
Project Implementation and delivery of PD System for
BSS
[ Online / Web-based user application launched globally ]
Recognition and Reward Programs
§ Implement
Corporate Recognition Programs at BSS [ e.g. Red Carpet , HEA ]
§ Manage
Supplier Relationship for various programs [R&R, Education, Trophies
et al]
§ Maintain
strong budgetary controls and tracking mechanism w.r.t. R&R Budgets.
§
Data-mining of all R&R Citations, records, and reports
§
Responsible for designing and maintenance of BSS HR R&R Intranet.
§
Collaborate with Corporate Affairs team to plan out the annual activity /
Internal-communication calendar pertaining to R&R.
§ Create
awareness and branding of recognition initiatives rolled out by rewards team.
§ Ensure
timely planning of R&R events leading to seamless execution and enhancing
event experience.
§ Actively
engage with senior leadership, and colleagues to develop better recognition
plans/solution, collect feedback through FGDs, VOC to gauge and evaluate
effectiveness of the prevalent R&R plans.
§ Partner
with institutes and universities to create corporate educational programs for
BSS employees.
Projects
§ To
conceptualize new and cutting edge recognition programs/ practices at BSS
§ Project
manage Performance Development Assessment {semi-annual} Cycles
§ Gather
market Information, Industry practices on innovative reward & recognition
programs / tools that can be deployed to engage and motivate employees.
§ Oversee
the In-Cycle, Off Cycle Promotion Cycles, and progression process policy, and
apply adequate controls wherever, necessary.
§
Preparation of Management Information publish executive reports, dashboards,
trackers, and data] to support new and existing initiatives, and performance
management data.
Essential/Basic Qualifications
Technical Skills/Competencies
§ Familiar
with Operating Systems (Windows 98/2000/XP). Knowledge of MS Office. Proficient
in using email; Exposure to technology-database management, networks and links.
Good communication skills(both verbal & written)
§ Exposure
to Income Tax Rules/Statutory Compliances would be an added advantage

Education
Graduate in any discipline/ Post Graduate (Preferably MBA)
