Nurse (02 Positions) with the Research Group of Fetal and Neonatal Health under the Centre for Reproductive Health (Advertisement #07/14)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable Female candidates for the position of  Nurse (02 Positions) with the Research Group of Fetal and Neonatal Health under the Centre for Reproductive Health. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for  06 months, which may be extended for further period depending on availability of funds and satisfactory performance.

Duty Station –Field Sites.

Salary - Tk.27,191/-(consolidated)  per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.  No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile:

• Interviewing and data collection: Take written consent from mother and from health care providers related with delivery in subdistrict and district level Hospital and NGOs; Filled out checklist of normal and emergency obstetric and neonatal care by health care providers in subdistrict and district level Hospital and NGOs;  Conduct interviews of the pregnant mothers; Collect data of pregnant women who will come for delivery insubdistrict and district level Hospital andNGOs  in order to ensure qualitative data.

• Documentation: Prepare study related documentation maintaining; Maintain records of research related data in appropriate forms; Review patient files on a daily basis to ensure completeness of record keeping system; Organize periodic meetings and prepare monthly reports in order to attain the study objectives.

• Professional Development: Attend all trainings and mentoring activities organized by icddr,b;  Develop and demonstrate interest in a particular specialty; Seek opportunities to be exposed to research activities of the Centre in order to continually developed  and acquire new skills.

Requirements:

Education and Relevant Experience:

• Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery or equivalent qualification with valid registration from Bangladesh Nursing Council;
• Should have minimum 2 years experience in relevant filed, experience related to work in obstetric ward  will be  highly preferred.
