Living Through Learning: Physical Science Teacher / Facilitator

Living Through Learning (LTL) is an NGO in the education sector assisting in the literacy and technical subject arenas to uplift and equip disadvantaged youth with the requisite skills to succeed in life. The Tertiary Education Access Channel (TEACH) project's main objective is to assist 40 matriculants of 2012/13 to bridge the gap between their high school and technical University studies. Living Through Learning (LTL) seeks to appoint a Physical Science Educator for the Post-Matric Bridging Project (TEACH), based in Cape Town.

Starting date: 6 January 2013

Responsibilities:
  • Implement Physical Science curriculum with recent Grade 12 learners;
  • Regular testing of learners.
Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years experience teaching Physical Science at Grade 12 level;
  • Preferable BSc qualification;
  • Extensive understanding and ability to apply science: chemistry and physics;
  • Proven results;
  • Willingness to adapt to new methodologies;
  • Ability to teach in an innovative, creative manner; and
  • Applicants must reside in Cape Town.

Salary: R10 000 Gross
