DESCRIPTION
|
|
|
The
Assistant Country Director, Program Support (ACD PS), based in Dhaka,
Bangladesh, provides leadership, direction and is responsible for all
the Country Office (CO) financial and administrative processes and functions.
The
post requires exceptional professional financial management skills and
experience to ensure that program support is implemented efficiently and cost
effectively providing high quality services and information to
"clients" at all the different levels of CARE, as well as for individuals
and communities, donors and other stakeholders.
With
CARE's "People at the Centre of Development" and values-based
organizational culture, the ACD PS is responsible for mentoring and team
building that promotes staff and partners personal and professional development.
This requires strong interpersonal skills that will ensure integrity,
excellent internal controls and the conscientious stewardship of all
entrusted resources.
As
a key member of the 4 person Senior Core Management Team s/he will
participate in and be responsible for the strategic leadership and direction
in the Country Office. This includes developing policy and practice,
representing and marketing CARE's work and making decisions that advance the
direction, quality and impact of the CARE Bangladesh Program.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
·
5 years experience in a similar position – senior financial and managerial
role in a multi-dimensional organization or company
·
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
·
Proven experience mentoring, training and delegating
·
Excellent negotiation skills
·
Experience using financial software packages
Preferred
·
Master’s Degree in a relevant field
·
8 years experience in a similar position – senior financial and managerial
role in a multi-dimensional organization or company
·
International development experience
