Our client, a mining company in Botswana, is looking for two Shift Coordinators to be part of their Processing division and their Preparation division. The main objective of the position would be to schedule, coordinate and monitor the day to day operations of the plant. This is a residential position and you will share responsibilities with 3 other shift coordinators.

Responsibilities:

Plant availability monitoring
Plant throughout monitoring
Budgeting and Cost Control
People Effectiveness
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality

Authorities and Accountabilities

Financial: Recommends budget estimates to Section Manager

Assets: Responsible for plant machinery and consumables management

People: Sets targets and agrees performance contracts in partnership with direct reports
Monitors and reviews performance and recommends performance based Rewards
Holds staff accountable in accordance with the mine disciplinary policy and procedure

RequirementsQualification and Skill
Essential
-NCC Certificate
-6 years' post qualification experience, with minimum 2 years' supervisory level
-Computer literacy
-Concentrator Plant knowledge
-Analytical Trouble Shooting

Preferable
-3 years' Control Room Operator experience

South Africans are encouraged to apply
Nickel experience advantageous
