Public Education Officer - Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority(NBFIRA)

Reports to: Communication and Public Affairs Manager

Main purpose of the job


To pro-actively implement public education, communication and public relation policies and strategies in order to educate the public and stake holders on the role, objectives and activities of the Authority and to promote a positive image of the Authority and its Activities.

Key Performance Areas


• Prepares the public education, communications and public relations strategy and plan
• Recommends and plan the development of campaigns to increase public awareness of the activities of the Authority
• Pro-actively develop and organise the preparation and dissemination of information and other material to promote understanding of the Authority’s role and functions
• Respond to the media enquiries and act as the spokesperson within delegated limits
• Undertakes such other activities as directed by the supervisor

Experience and Qualifications 


• Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Business or related field
• At least 5 years experience in the implementation of public education and public affairs strategies and the management of campaigns
