FACULTY OF HUMANITIES

TEACHING ASSISTANTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STUDIES (2 POSITIONS)

VACANCY NO: FH/LIS 2/2013

Duties:  To handle tutorials in database and information retrieval, design and implementation of intranets, Internet and web design, IT tools and applications.  Other duties include marking of tutorials and performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. (Immediate supervision will be under the academic staff). Applicants should indicate subjects in which they are competent.

Requirements:  At least a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Studies, Information Sciences,  Information Systems, Information Technology or its equivalent.  At least one year’s teaching experience in the above subject areas at university level will be an added advantage.

Remuneration:   As per approved part-time rates.
