LECTURER/LEARNER SUPPORT COORDINATOR
VACANCY NO: CCE 1/ 2018
Duties: The successful candidate will be
required to: (i) coordinate and provide guidance in processes and
procedures of student assessment, including setting and administration of
assignments, tests, examinations and computing results; (ii) monitor
student’s performance and provide remedial support; (iii) organise
training sessions/workshops for part-time lecturers/tutors and markers;
(iv) maintain accurate student record system; (v) conduct
evaluation of short courses, distance education and public education
programmes; (vi) carry out research and evaluation in tutorial and
assessment processes and procedures in the Centre for Continuing Education.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i)
at least a Masters’ Degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation or related
fields; (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related fields with at least a
2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research
and service; (iv) proficiency in electronic data management software; v) the
following will be added advantages: at least three years’ experience in the
management of student assessment in a tertiary institution; a relevant PhD,
teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration
of effective academic leadership. Preference will be given to applicants with
experience in the management of learner support services for part-time/distance
education and other continuing learners.
